Maoists 'smear soot' on face of DoFE DG
KATHMANDU, Aug 12: Cadres of Biplab led CPN-Maoist allegedly manhandled Director General of Department of Foreign Employment Bharat Raj Subedi in Bohoratar Wednesday morning.

A group of four/five youths allegedly affiliated to Youth People's Volunteers attacked Subedi when he was on his way to office at Tinkune, Kathmandu. The group had first pelted stones at the vehicle (Ba 12 Cha 3165) carrying Subedi and then manhandled him before smearing soot on his face.
According to the police, the vehicle has suffered minor damage with its windscreen broken. Subedi has received injuries to his face and is currently undergoing treatment at Nidan Hospital in Pulchowk.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Sharma Das, who heads Metropolitan Police Circle Office, Balaju, said they have started investigation into the incident. "We have not been able to get further details from Subedi as he is not in a condition to speak. We have begun investigation to find out the culprit," said Das, who took charge of the post on Wednesday.
