Conflict victims call for protection
KATHMANDU, June 9: The conflict victims have called for their security stating that they have been getting several threats in course of registering complaints at the local peace committees in response to the call of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.

The Conflict Victims' Common Platform shared this information at a monitoring report launching program here today. The report is on the monitoring of the complaint registration process that the Platform conducted from May 10 to June 3 in different districts.

The report states that the conflict victims in most districts where the monitoring was carried out received veiled and unveiled threats in course of filing the complaints.
